What is the best flea control product for dogs that doesn't smell ?

Frontline- you can get it from your vet or go to 1800-petmeds.com.What is the best flea control product for dogs that doesn't smell ?
The best flea medication is one your can purchase from the vet. All products in the pet store are 100% useless.

What the products in the store do is kill fleas on you dog at that moment and that moment only..so seeing fleas on your dog a few hours to few days later is very likely and common.

What the meds from a vet do are one of two things, they either kill the adults every time they bite your dog or they make it so teh eggs can't hatch.

As far as I know teh vet meds don't have a strong smell or one really at all. Talk with your vet and find out which product is best for you. What is the best flea control product for dogs that doesn't smell ?
Our Rescue Group uses Frontline Plus for Tic and Flea control and through trial and error found this to be excellent. I have not noticed an odor.

also:

This works very well for a flea/tick repellent.

1 C avon Skin So Soft

1 T oil of citronella, or eucalyptus (available at hfs)

2 C white vinegar

2 C water

Mix well and apply from spray bottle (cover eyes)

To really discourage ticks decrease water to 1 C

Shake well before each use and use as often as you wish

Good luck
You must be cautious in the product you choose. My dog has never had fleas. I know of products that do not harm your dog, it is Advantage. Something you put a drop on your dog every month. It keeps the fleas off . My family uses it on their dogs and cats. I wouldn't use a flea collar or flea bathI am afraid it is harmful to dogs. You can order Advantage from Foster and Smith at 800 826 7206. They have a catalog they can mail you also with all kinds of products for dogs and cats.
frontline or frontline plus are the best. it is not a prescription product but should only be bought from a vet. i had a friend order some online and all her dogs ended up itching badly. she read the package and saw it was not approved for u.s. sale, only australia. once it was all cleaned off the itching stopped. some higher end pet stores sell it too and that should be ok. it is a little expensive but it works great. it can kill %26amp; repel fleas for up to 3 months and ticks for 1 month. there is no smell but it will leave a grease spot between their shoulders for a couple days. it is not marketed for mosquitos, but i once saw one land on a dog the day after application and the little critter landed in the dog's nose and fell off dead.
Go to this website. www.naturalchemistry.com Read up on the De Flea products. Then go to the Learning Center and read up on the chemical treatments(poisons).

You can get the De Flea spray and shampoo at Petsmart. I just took a sniff from my bottle of spray and it has very little odor and is not offensive in the least.

It works on contact with the fleas and works on all stages of fleas from eggs to adults. Good stuff.
Well you know you can make your own repellents that are safe for the dog. Try getting a lime and squeeze all the juice out into the container and then use mint leaves and squirt its liquid into the same container and mix. IDK if it works but i saw it online just click this...

I am all for natural holistic pet care and therapy. For this reason, I would at least consider researching Diatomaceous Earth. Here is a link for you:

I use revolution because it protects again fleas, TICKS, and misquitos. It doesn't smell and it really easy to apply. It costs about 80 dollars for a 6 pack though
Frontline is good. Sometimes dogs also get fleas when you walk them. Try getting shoes for walks outside of your house.
Frontline plus, you don't need an rx, but their are fakes so buying it from a vet is a good idea.
Frontline plus! I have tried K9 advantix however it created a sticky spot where i put the med .
Frontline you need to get a prescription from the vet, it also prevents ticks.
a flee collar and flee shampoo
seven dust has always worked for my animals.
Frontline Plus or if you don't have any ticks around Advantage......
cap star call my moms shop and ask 5044334
