We have 2 dogs and 3 cats. The dogs obviously brought fleas in the house, we treated them, and they seem to be fine. The fleas now seem to prefer the cats. We have used 3 in 1 sprays on the cats to kill the fleas and eggs. We have put them (bodies only) under water for 10 minutes at a time to drown the fleas. Which works for the fleas that are currently on them. We have removed all bedding, vacuum twice a day, spray all furniture and carpets every few days. Every once in a while, we still see a flea on the cats, and now the fleas seem to want to jump on a human once in a while. Does that mean that the treatments are working, and they're not getting what they need off of the cats when they bite them? I have to think that even though they are still laying eggs, the eggs are not viable, and hopefully won't hatch? I'd like to use Frontline on the cats for further and longer protection (hopefully a last ditch effort). I am wondering if it's safe to do that, as I sprayed the cats a week ago.How can I get rid of fleas after using many flea control products?

Frontline and advantage works good. It prevents the fleas from multiplying. Buy a flea comb and groom them. Our cats love it and it gets the stragglers.
We did have a bad problem in one room with thick carpet. I took a white platter, mixed a little dish soap with water, set a lamp above the platter, and you would not believe the number of fleas that jumped to the light and fell to their doom in the liquid. It cleared the problem pretty quick!
use front line in about 2 weeks on your cats it works my cats had fleas and we used it...oh and its not enough to vacuum you have to clean your floors along with vauuming..its alot of work but you will get rid of them faster
